Annapurna Base Camp Trek

Upon arriving in Kathmandu, you will be warmly welcomed and transferred to your hotel. After settling in, you’ll attend a briefing about the trek, providing an opportunity to ask any questions and finalize preparations. Spend the rest of the day exploring the vibrant streets of Thamel, soaking in the unique blend of ancient culture and modern hustle.

Today, you will embark on a scenic drive to Pokhara, a beautiful city nestled beside Phewa Lake, framed by the majestic Annapurna range. The journey takes approximately 6-7 hours, offering glimpses of rural Nepalese life, roaring Trisuli River and natural Beauty. Upon arrival, check into your hotel and spend a relaxing evening by the lakeside (lakeshore of Fewa Lake), soaking in the tranquil atmosphere of Pokhara

After breakfast, a short drive will take you to Nayapul, the starting point of your trek. From here, you’ll begin your trek, following a well-marked trail through lush forests and charming villages. The trek to Tikhedhunga takes about 4-5 hours, gradually introducing you to the stunning landscapes of the Annapurna region.

Prepare for a challenging day as you ascend the steep stone staircase at tikhedhunga to Ulleri, a significant climb of over 3,000 steps. The effort is rewarded with stunning views and a gradual transition into rhododendron forests. The trek to Ghorepani takes about 6-7 hours, and upon arrival, you’ll find yourself surrounded by panoramic views of the mountains.

PS: Tikhedhunga, which means sharp stones in Nepali Language. It is one of the first and famous continuous uphill in abctrail.

Rise early for a pre-dawn hike to Poon Hill, where you’ll witness a magnificent sunrise casting a golden glow over the Himalayan peaks. It will take around 1 hour uphill hike through dense Rhododendron forest to reach poonhill view point. After soaking in the breathtaking golden mountain view, return to Lodge for breakfast before continuing your trek down to Tadapani. This leg of the journey takes about 6-7 hours, winding through dense forests and offering continuous mountain vistas.

Today’s trek descends through forests and crosses several small streams, leading you to the picturesque village of Chhomrong. The journey takes about 5-6 hours, and along the way, you’ll encounter terraced fields and traditional houses, providing a glimpse into the local way of life.

Leaving Chhomrong, you’ll trek down a stone staricase to the Chhomrong Khola River before ascending to Sinuwa. The abctrail cross the suspension bridge, continues through terraced fields, mountain hills to the small village Sinuwa from where you will get breathtaking close-up view of Mt fishtail as well as stunning landscape. Trail continues via a village Khuldighar and finally bamboo on a bank of Modi River passing through bamboo, oak and rhododendron forests, gradually leading you to Dovan.

This segment of the trek takes about 5-6 hours and offers a serene and tranquil atmosphere as you move deeper into the Annapurna Sanctuary.

Along the way, you’ll pass small streams and waterfalls, adding to the picturesque beauty of the journey. The air becomes noticeably cooler and fresher, heightening the sense of immersion in the pristine natural environment as you approach Dovan.

The trek from Dovan to Deurali takes you through dense bamboo forests, passing by the Himalayan Hotel. As you ascend, the landscape becomes more rugged and the air thinner, creating a palpable sense of adventure. The journey to Deurali takes about 4-5 hours, ending at the foot of the Modi Himal, surrounded by towering peaks.

Today is one of the most eagerly awaited days of the trek. You’ll ascend steadily to Machhapuchhre Base Camp, where you’ll be greeted with stunning panoramic views of the surrounding peaks like Annapurna, Gangapurna, Himchuli, Machhapuchhre and others . Continuing on, you’ll reach Annapurna Base Camp, an awe-inspiring natural amphitheater encircled by towering snow-capped mountains. This entire segment of the trek takes approximately 5-6 hours, culminating in a profound sense of accomplishment as you stand amidst the majestic beauty of the Annapurna Sanctuary.

After enjoying a sunrise at Base Camp, you’ll begin your descent back to Bamboo. The journey takes about 6-7 hours, retracing your steps through the stunning landscapes you passed on the way up. This descent allows you to revisit and reflect on the beauty of the Annapurna region.

Today’s trek leads you back through Chhomrong and descends to Jhinu Danda. After about 5-6 hours of trekking, you can relax and rejuvenate in the natural hot springs at Jhinu Danda, a perfect way to soothe your tired muscles and unwind.

From Jhinu Danda, you’ll trek to Nayapul, a journey that takes about 5-6 hours. Upon reaching Nayapul, a vehicle will be waiting to drive you back to Pokhara. Once in Pokhara, enjoy the rest of the day at your leisure, reflecting on your incredible journey.

Today, you’ll drive back to Kathmandu, a journey of approximately 6-7 hours. Upon arrival, check into your hotel and spend your final evening exploring the cultural and historical sites of Kathmandu, or simply relax and enjoy the bustling atmosphere of Thamel.

After breakfast, you’ll be transferred to the airport for your onward journey. As you depart, you’ll carry with you unforgettable memories of the Annapurna Base Camp Trek, a once-in-a-lifetime adventure through some of the most breathtaking landscapes in the world.
